Memories & Candles
Saddened to hear of the death of my dear Betsy. She was always thinking of
others and was a very good Friend in Sweet Adelines with my Mother, Liz
Lapekas. They are in Heaven, looking for Ladies to form a Quartet, so they can continue their love of Barbershop singing. My sincere condolences to you,
Bob, and your Family.

A point of reference for you Bob, I taught at K.C.C. when you were there.
i will miss seeing your wife, Betsy, at the Battle Creek Symphony wearing the most beautiful, white pleated jacket with her wonderful smile.
As a widow of ten years, I'm so sorry that Betsy died, and you will be alone which is very hard to get used to, but remembering a full life helped me, and I hope that it helps you.
Fondly,
Mary aka Betty

Betsy was such a thoughtful sweet lady and a good friend to my grandma her coworker at the police department. They had lunch together for many years. We also got to know her and Bob as part of the lunch bunch group. I appreciated time spent with her and her family very much. What a beautiful sunny person. ❤

I met Betsy when we both worked at the Battle Creek Police Department in the 70's. She was friendly and a great worker who was quick to help other secretaries when the need arose.

Betsy truly was one of the most beautiful souls I've know. She was always fun, joyful and encouraging. The times I spent with her will always be in my memory as we shared many times together working on publicity for Sweet Adelines, co-chairing positions on the board and joining together singing with the chorus at numerous events. She was always publicly promoting Sweet Adelines and the hobby she loved. Always had a smile on her face and no one was
