Beautiful service Aunt Molly, May you be helping Uncle Dick and Dick get the dock out and launch the boat at the "heavenly cabin" before the Devil gets his boat out of storage. My memories of you are a comfort and joy, you always provided warmth and happiness. Love ya. Gerry

Tracee has a wonderful A capella voice and Cathy made sure you had some clothes pins and kleenex.

Marlene was my boss at my very first job, working in the Local History Room at Willard while I was in high school. I could not have asked for a better first job experience! I learned SO much from her about Battle Creek history and doing genealogical research. I went on to become a public librarian and often think of things she taught me. On another note, my grandparents, Leo and Shirley Styer, were good friends with the senior Steele's. Marlene and I really enjoyed discovering that connection! I will always have many happy memories of her.

She became a great friend of my mother, Frances Thornton, and we all worked on local history projects, including the creation of the Battle Creek Historic District Commission , the 100th

I have many pleasant memories of Marlene while working on the Sesquicentennial Book. Our planning meetings were held at Willard Library and Marlene was always there offering help and background expertise.
