Memories & Candles
Oh man - I just found out about this, and my condolences to the whole Guerra family. What's there to say about the glory days of Woolnough Street? (for the Bushes - 1968 to 1975) The block parties, the playing in the empty lot next to their house, babysitting Vicky and Johny on the rare occasion... plus, Lou and Sheila both coached my Safe-T-Play hockey team. Mr. Guerra was my gym teacher during my years at Fremont School (1975-76 to 1980-81) and a former neighbor of mine and my family. He was a great guy, always very nice and treated everyone the same.
I always had a lot of respect for him. I remember fondly the parachutes he used in gym class, and almost getting steamrolled by his huge dog, Cinnamon, many times - great childhood memories.
My deepest condolences and prayers go out to his family.

Mr. Guerra was a really nice man. I always enjoyed it when he filled in at Urbandale School. Later in life I had him as a driving instructor.
Mr. Steve Guerra and family you are in my prayers.
