Racheal Lauren "PíPí" Smith, age 23, of Battle Creek passed away unexpectedly after a lifelong battle with Diabetes on Sunday evening, January 27, 2019 at the MediLodge of Marshall. She was born in Battle Creek on March 31, 1995, and was the beautiful daughter of Roger L. Smith and Angela M. Basse. Racheal attended Harper Creek Schools and most recently worked as a CNA at various area nursing homes.

Racheal is survived by her "Daddy", Roger (Sherri) Smith of Battle Creek; her brother, Riley (Kaitlyn) Smith of Battle Creek; her cherished niece, Railyn Smith; her mother, Angela (Thomas) Lothamer of Quincy; her grandparents, Ruth Loser, Beverly Smith, Kingsford (Naomi) Basse, and Pamela (Marc) Hiesrodt; her great-grandparents, Charles & Ruth Ames; and several aunts, uncles & cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Robert Smith Sr. and Francis Loser; and her uncle, Robert Smith Jr.

Racheal had an amazing voice and loved to sing at Karaoke, singing contests, musical plays or even for family and friends gathered at a park. Family was everything to Racheal and she especially loved spending time with her brother and her precious niece, Railyn, whom she absolutely adored. Racheal had a heart of gold and she loved helping others and animals. Racheal also enjoyed cooking, eating, dogs, dolphins, shopping and was a very talented artist that enjoyed many types of art and adult coloring books. She will truly be missed by all who knew and Love her.

The family will receive friends 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 30th at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care where funeral services to celebrate Racheal's life will be held 1:30 p.m., Thursday, January 31st with Jonathon Barnes, Certified Celebrant, officiating. The family will continue the celebration of Raceal's life with a luncheon at the American Legion Post #298. Memorials directed to the Calhoun County Animal Shelter would be appreciated.
