Sheila graduated from Biloxi High School in Biloxi, Mississippi with the Class of 1970 and furthered her education at Jefferson Davis Junior College. In 2017, she retired from Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care after more than 24 years of dedicated and exceptional service.

Sheila married the "Love of Her Life", Richard K. "Rick" Scheick in Biloxi, MS on September 2, 1972; he survives. She is also survived by her children, Melanie Scheick of Dearborn, MI, Lewis Scheick of Huntsville, TX, and Amanda (Cuyler) Ball of Battle Creek; her granddaughter, Melanie Ball of Battle Creek; her sister, Crystal Kent of Gulfport, MS; and her sister-in-law, Cheryl Scheick of Ceresco. Family was always most important to Sheila. She was proud of all three of her children and what they have done with their lives, and she thanked God every day for sending Rick to make her life complete. Sheila enjoyed going to casinos, traveling, reading, and of course, drinking her Coca-Cola.
