Condolence & Memory Journal

Steve was married to my daughter Jenny. They both worked @ Post Cereals -- Steve much longer than Jenny. Steve was a NICE PERSON -- often rare to find today!

Steve was one of the most hard-working people I've known, which, in my opinion is something of which to be proud. I WAS PROUD OF HIM. I told him I could never have worked the hours and shifts he did, and he'd say: " I love my job." I'd say to him, "please take care of yourself, because I know you work so hard, and I WANT YOU TO BE HERE TO ENJOY THE FRUITS OF YOUR LABOR WHEN YOU RETIRE." He'd just smile. He didn't make it to retirement, so he could go fishing or whatever with Frank. He didn't make it to retirement, AND THAT MAKES ME SO TERRIBLY SAD.

Marriage vows say, "'til death do us part". My Jenny went home to the Lord Sunday, March 12, 2017 -- always 44 yrs. old. I hope perhaps they are enjoying each other's company.

My condolences to ALL his family & friends; his sisters, & especially his Mom - who has now lost a daughter and a son.

My love, Joann Williston

"You may be gone from my sight, but you are never gone from my heart" -Winnie the Pooh

All my memories of my cousin Steve make me smile! He was interesting, fun, smart and always made you feel (and sometimes even said) like you were his favorite person in the world! Whether we were making forts, crawling around Grandma's barn, swimming in Crystal Lake or enjoying a few beers, we ALWAYS had a blast! Steve - you were one of the good guys! May you rest in peace!

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

How do you start? Steve and I went to high school together and have been friends for years. I've lived in Florida/Georgia the last 30 years and I would make a trip to Michigan 3 to 4 times a year to see my elderly parents. And with out fail the few years I saw Steve every time I made it t Michigan. Each one a blessing. I saw him last Halloween and got a text from him last week for us to get together this week. I'm in shock. I will dearly miss my good friend. My prayers to his family and I hope they will contact me if there is anything at all I can do help them through this.
