Condolence & Memory Journal

I'm late. I just ran across the obituary, but I'm so sad about Buffy's passing. I was the sports information director at Nazareth College from 1989 to 1991, and I remember Buffy very well. She was a really talented volleyball player on a team, coached by Carol Ann Davis, full of talented players. You don't win a national volleyball championship, even at the small-college level, without six people who play the game at a high level.

What I really remember about Buffy was how nice she was. She was always glad to see me, even though we didn't know each other very well. I particularly remember the last day that the Nazareth Sports Center was open, and I'd forgotten that the work study assignments ended that day. Buffy, who worked at the entry desk, smiled and waved and told me to have "a nice life." She meant that in a positive way, and I've had that. I get the impression that she did too, for most of her life. What a tragedy. I was just about to find her, after 29 years, to say hello. The moral of the story is that life is short--don't wait to reach out. Buffy, I'm sorry I waited too long.

I am saddened to hear of Buffy's passing today. We were old High School friends and I am lucky to have many fond memories of times out on Gull Lake. She was such a strong, powerful, confident woman with a great spirit. My condolences to her family and brother Bill. Rest In Peace Buffy.

Tim, I am so truly sorry for your loss. Buffy was a great girl and i know she will be soarly missed by you and your girls. We bought your lovely home on Twin Eagle and enjoyed it for over 13 years. We moved to Cross Creek a few years back; and sadly Bob passed away last fall from lung cancer. So I know it is not easy and takes a long while to fathom your life without them. I know we lost track of each other but wanted to pass on my sincere condolences. Best Regards, Barb Games
