Eileen was born April 26, 1925, in Detroit, Michigan to Ward Neil and Anna Marie (Zimmerman) Chase. She moved to Battle Creek as a child and began attending St. Philip Elementary in third grade. Eileen was a 1943 graduate of St. Philip Catholic Central. After high school, she lived in Detroit with her Aunt Betty (Lloyd) and worked in downtown Detroit: first at Hudson's and then for Consolidated Gas Company, now DTE. When Eileen returned to Battle Creek, she was employed at Ermisch Travel for Max Ermisch and enjoyed the travel business and was able to travel to many beautiful places. Eileen Ann Chase was united in marriage to David Sheehan on March 2, 1957, at St. Philip Catholic Church. Eileen and Dave were able to take a two-week honeymoon to Acapulco, Mexico. In later years Eileen was an election official.

Eileen was a devoted member of St. Philip Roman Catholic Church. She believed strongly in her faith and was active in CCW, St. Martha's Circle, Perpetual Adoration, Birth Right and the St. Philip Thrift Shop. She and Dave volunteered for the Franklin Food Pantry. She loved Beadle Lake, her Council Crest Book Club and neighbors, entertaining and just being with people. She loved picnics, family gatherings, holiday parties and everything family.
