Arnette Faye "Tiny" (Smith) Silkworth, 78, of Battle Creek, Michigan died at The Oaks at NorthPointe Woods on Saturday, February 27, 2021.

Tiny was born November 18, 1942 in Battle Creek, Michigan to Albert John and Rosemary Irene (Miller) Smith. She grew up in Barry County in the Lacey area and was a 1961 graduate of Hastings High School. Tiny was a waitress most of her life and was employed at the Spa Steak House, Bill Knapp's, Countryside Inn, The Post Tavern, Buckingham Inn, New York New York, and Tony's Hong Kong. After waitressing all those years, she still needed to work and was employed at Walmart.

Arnette Faye "Tiny" Smith married Frank Edward Silkworth on April 10, 1971 at Emmett Street Missionary Church in Battle Creek. Surviving are her husband, Frank, of almost 50 years; three children, Scott (Lisa) Silkworth of Battle Creek, Nicholas (Maritza) Silkworth of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Wendy Silkworth of Battle Creek; six grandchildren, Leeanna Silkworth, Simon Silkworth, Layla Silkworth, Zachary Tenbrink, Gavan Smith and Kyler Smith; two sisters, Melba Kay (Clayton) Boles of Bellevue, Shirley June Lowell of Grand Rapids and several nieces, nephews, cousins and their families. Tiny was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Dale Albert Smith.

Tiny enjoyed cooking and baking. She met with a group of ladies weekly and they did crafts together and took craft classes. Tiny will be remembered as a very giving and caring person.

Friends will be received 12:00-1:00 p.m. Monday at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, where a funeral service to celebrate Tiny's life will be officiated by Rev. Robert L. Zuhl 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 8, 2021. Committal and interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
