Heart Emblem

Betty Jane (Gaul) Ginnebaugh of Battle Creek, MI

Betty, age 90, died on Thursday, July 9, 2020 at the Reflections of Battle Creek after suffering from Alzheimer's for many years.

Betty, the daughter of Ted A. and Gretchen V. (Kinter) Wolfe, was born in Battle Creek on May 28, 1930; was a 1948 graduate of Lakeview High School and was a lifetime resident. She was a homemaker who took great pride in her home, yard and garden. All were impeccable. Betty loved nothing more than to decorate and entertain for the holidays. She and her husband, John did everything together in their 65 years of marriage. They loved to travel, went on many cruises and loved to watch birds. Betty was a member of the First Congregational Church of Battle Creek.

Betty married the love of her life, John A. Ginnebaugh, at the First Congregational Church on July 15, 1951 and he sadly preceded her in death on March 24, 2016. Surviving are his daughter, Terri R. (Patrick) Mullin of Brighton, MI/Marco Island, FL; her son, Scott A. (Laura) Ginnebaugh of Battle Creek; 3 grandchildren, Brent (Michelle) Mullin, Matthew (Chrisann) Ginnebaugh and Kellee Mullin; two great granddaughters and very special friends, Gayle and Ruth. Betty was also preceded in death by her daughter, Dawn R. Ginnebaugh on July 6, 2013; her parents and her step-father, Carl H. Gaul. A special thank you to Cortney, Mashion, Lisa and the staff at Reflections Memory Care for the love they gave throughout her stay especially during these last few months.

A private family service and committal in Memorial Park Cemetery, Battle Creek, will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Betty's honor may directed to the Alzheimers Association, 200 Turwill Lane, Suite 6, Kalamazoo, MI 49006. The Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek is assisting Betty's family.
