Brandon Tyler Harris, 30, of Battle Creek left this world on Sunday, July 28, 2019, when an accident claimed his life. This happened while he was doing what he loved most, spending time with his family and friends.

Brandon was born December 4, 1988 in Battle Creek, Michigan the son of Dean Edwin and Alesha Corinne (Stout) Harris, Jr. He was a 2007 graduate of Harper Creek High School where he played football and track and later returned to help coach track for several years. Shortly after he began working for Motor Shop Electric Co. where he completed the IBEW apprenticeship program. Currently he was employed at a job he loved, selling motorcycles at Battle Creek Harley-Davidson.

Surviving are his parents, Alesha Corinne Stout of Battle Creek, Dean "Ed" Harris, Jr. of Battle Creek; siblings, Dean Travis Harris of Kalamazoo, Andrea Harris of Battle Creek, Jacob Harris of Vale, CO, Austin Young and Alexandria Young both of Battle Creek; maternal grandparents, Delores and Steven Shepard of Battle Creek; paternal grandparents, Dean and Ramona Harris, Sr. of Apache Junction, AZ; paternal grandmother, Kathleen Harris of Battle Creek; nephew, Mason Hamlin; niece, Peyton Hamlin; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and their families; as well as his many brothers not of relation. Brandon was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Norman Stout; maternal uncle, David Stout; and paternal aunt, Krystal Davis.

Brandon was a motorcycle enthusiast. He loved the outdoors, guns, archery, bicycling, and snow and wake boarding. Brandon loved having fun and excelled at almost any hobby he took up. He was an avid reader and would thoroughly research subjects he was interested in. "Uncle B" loved his niece and nephew. Brandon was also an avid critic of television and movies. He will be remembered as a magnetic, passionate, and outspoken personality.

Brandon's family will receive friends 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 1, 2019 at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care. A service to celebrate Brandon's life will be held at the place he loved most, his home, 9927 F Drive North, Battle Creek, MI 49014, at 3:00 p.m. Friday, August 2, 2019, with Rev. John D. Fleckenstein presiding.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The National Alliance on Mental Illness, or The Fisher Center for Alzheimer's Research Foundation, or The Pink Ribbon Riders
