Charlene R. Keiser, age 86, of Hickory Corners, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2016. She was born in Plainwell, Michigan on April 11, 1930, the daughter of Charles and Dorothy (Cave) Howard. Charlene retired from the Mead Company in Kalamazoo after more than 44 years of service.

Charlene married Clare Keiser on June 3, 1957; he sadly preceded her in death on November 3, 1992. She is survived by her daughter, Randi (Howard) Deneau of Otsego; her son, Craig Town of Kalamazoo; step-children, Joanne Weires of Arizona, Joy (Bruce) Snyder of Lawton, and Jack Keiser of Florida; a granddaughter, Becky (Steve) Smith of PawPaw; 4 great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; a sister, Laurel Brown of Florida, and several nieces & nephews. Charlene was also preceded in death by a step-daughter, June Halprin and a daughter-in-law, Sharon Town.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held 2:00 to 4:00 & 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 11th at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Richland Chapel 9170 East D. Avenue (M-89), Richland. In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations to Heartland Hospice or Lending Hands of Michigan.
