Charles D.Britt, 63 of Athens, died Saturday, May 6, 2017 at MediLodge Nursing Home, Marshall. He was born August 1, 1954 in Kalamazoo the son of Carl D. and Marjorie P. (Obien) Britt.

He graduated from Athens High School in 1972 and served his country first with the US Army for three years and then with the US Navy for four years. For the last 20 years Charles work for the US Government as a grounds keeper for Ft. Custer National Cemetery.

Charles is survived by his two sisters, Sheryl Latimer, Tamera Watkins both of Athens and his brother, Randy E. Britt of Battle Creek.
He was a computer geek, enjoyed woodworking, building models, of planes, cars and ships, like the USS Coral Sea, the ship that he served on.

Graveside memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Ft. Custer National Cemetery where Full Military Honors will be render. Arrangements are by the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, 105 Capital Ave. N.E. Battle Creek, Michigan 49017
