Dawn Ellen Heath, age 68, of Battle Creek passed away Thursday afternoon, October 26, 2017 at the Select Specialty Hospital, Battle Creek, surrounded by family and friends. She was born in Battle Creek on January 19, 1949, the loving daughter of Jack O. and Margaret M. (Clair) Heston and graduated from Battle Creek Central High School. Dawn retired from the Lakeview School District in 2013 after more than 20 years of faithful service in the Child Care Program.

Dawn is survived by her husband, Donald E. "Don" Heath; her four children, Wesley (Tonya) Alfred, Tara Reniger, Donna (Todd) Anderson, and Denise (Arturo) Otarola; seven grandchildren, Misty, Trevor, Mason, Austin, Kailee, Ariana, and Aiden; three great-grandchildren, Brynlee, Raelynn, and Ava; her brother and sisters, Jack (Mickey) Heston, Debbie Hunter, and Bobbi Bailey; several "special nieces & nephews"; her dogs, Harley & Presley; and her special friends, Melody Sanford and Debbie Cooper. She was sadly preceded in death by her parents; Don's parents, Donald & June Heath, and her brother-in-law, Jeff Hunter.

Dawn loved spending time with her family and attending her nieces & nephews sporting events. She also enjoyed reading, arts & crafts, and laying in the sun at her pool or at the beach, especially Wolf Lake.

The family will receive friends 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care where services to celebrate Dawn's life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 3, 2017. Memorials may be directed to the family c/o Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care.
