Eldon H. "Nick" Nicholls, age 81, of Battle Creek died at home on Saturday afternoon, November 7, 2020.
Nick was born November 29, 1938 in Battle Creek, MI to Lloyd and Amanda Nicholls. He retired from the Battle Creek V.A. Medical Center after more than 25 years of service.
Nick married Joyce Ann Rowse on May 4, 1957; she sadly preceded him in death on June 10, 2017. He is survived by his two daughters, Penny (Doug) Nunn of Battle Creek, and Vicki (Kraig) Lawrence of Franklin, NC; four sons, Mark (Vicky) Nicholls of Battle Creek, Mike (Carol) Nicholls of Cary, NC, Steve (Tonya) Nicholls of Battle Creek, and Jim Nicholls of Battle Creek; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. Nick was also preceded in death by his parents; a great-granddaughter, Kaleigh Woodman; three brothers & two sisters.
Nick loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed golfing and watching all types of sports, especially Detroit sports teams and the University of Michigan.
Friends will be received by Nick's family from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care. A private family service will be held 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 11, 2020. The service will be live-streamed and may be viewed by visiting https://vimeo.com/event/450742.
