Heart Emblem

Eleanor L. Teeter, age 96, of Gun Lake in Shelbyville, Michigan (formerly of Battle Creek), quietly passed away at home Thanksgiving morning, November 22, 2018. Eleanor was born February 5, 1922 in Traverse City, MI, the daughter of Henry and Grace (Coburn) Pfeiffer. Grace later married William Kenfield. Eleanor spent most of her life in Battle Creek until moving with Bob to Gun Lake in 1971. She worked at and retired from Kellogg's in 1971 after 31 years of service. She was also a member of the Kellogg 25 Year Club, a wonderful foundation she was so grateful for.

Eleanor enjoyed bowling and golf, and always staying active. Still blowing leaves and planting flowers at 96. Eleanor and Bob retired together and loved their winter trips to Florida, where they met so many wonderful friends.

Eleanor was preceded in death by two sons, Robert Teeter, Jr. in 1945 and David Teeter in 1997; and her husband Bob in 1994. She is survived by three daughters, Cynthia Krhovsky of Owosso, MI, Denise Crapse of Wayland, MI, and Deb Robinson of Ann Arbor. Her daughter-in-law, Janice Teeter continues to reside Kenosha, WI. There are many grandchildren and great grandchildren; Chris (Lauren) with Elena Grace, just born August 2018, Martin (Taylor) with Rosalie, and Matt who resides in Virginia. Granny was also loved by Danny, Jim, Bob, David, Kathy, John Eric, Megan, Mike, Michelle, Kevin, Jeff, Jeannette, and Shawn. She was also cherished by her lake neighbors Nate and Jayne who always watched out for her.

Eleanor married Bob in July 1939 after just meeting the previous April. They were married for 55 years. How fortunate we were. A life time of memories and love.

Per Eleanor's wishes, cremation has taken place and interment will be at Fort Custer National Cemetery in the Spring of 2019. Memorial contributions can be to the Kalamazoo Area Gospel Mission. A heartfelt thanks to the Great Lakes Caring Hospice staff for their care. Personal messages for the family may be placed to
