(Jeff) Tobey of Battle Creek; his son, Chris J. (Jennifer) Phillips of New Lothrop, MI; five precious grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Gene was married to Helen Brown in 1949; divorced and a son survives, Edward G. Phillips of Pearce, AZ and a daughter, Paula preceded Gene in death.
