Guy L. Waber, 69, of Kalamazoo, died Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family. Guy was born December 11, 1943 in Kalamazoo to Guy and Mary (Shafer) Waber. Guy graduated high school and traveled with the carnival for many years. Most recently, he was working for Whitaker Construction. For many years, he was known as the "Popcorn Man" at the Kalamazoo Farmer's Market. He also enjoyed camping and fishing.

Guy is survived by his 11 siblings, John Shafer, Lee Waber, Vern Waber, Robert Waber, Cindy Rose, Candy Smothers, Linda Oryczcak, Sally Martz, Billie Morey, Bonni Soltis and Helen Bigelow, and many nieces and nephews. Guy was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services to celebrate Guy's life will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 28, 2013 at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home, Augusta Chapel, officiated by Pastor Greg Silvey. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Galesburg. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, starting at 10:00 a.m. Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission, 448 N.
