Harley E. Gillett, age 90, of Battle Creek went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 22, 2022. He was born on August 28, 1931 to parents Forrest and Grace Gillett. Harley married the "Love of His Life" on August 6, 1955 in Battle Creek, Michigan. He made a life for his family as a College professor at Macomb County Community College where he retired from in 1988.

Harley and his wife, Marilyn traveled extensively throughout life with their family. They traveled to 47 states and places like Alaska, Canada, Ecuador and Hawaii. He enjoyed gardening, putting together models of classic cars, fishing and reading. Harleys relationship to God was very important to him. He spent many years as a Sunday school teacher and involved with the Awana Kids Club. More than anything, he just loved to be with his family. A true sign that you meant a lot to Harley was that he would take you out to eat at a restaurant.

Harley is survived by his Children, Carol Heimann and Michael (Sue) Gillett; his grandchildren, Luke (Jerica) Gillett, Jake (Kat) Gillett, Aaron (Maggie) Gillett, Jennifer (Phil) Miller, Kevin Heimann and Beth Heimann; and his great grandchildren, Milo and Klara Gillett and Saphira, Oliver, Philip and Olivia Miller. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife and his daughter, Judy Gillett.
