Prayer Emblem

Harold D. "The Kid" Titus, age 80, of Springfield died peacefully at home with his loving family at his side on Wednesday, March 18, 2020. He was born in Battle Creek on February 29, 1940 the son of Dallas and Veva (Baldwin) Titus and graduated from Springfield High School. A very hard & dedicated worker, over the years Harold worked at Sullivan Dairy, Clark Equipment and retired from Post Cereals.

Harold married the "Love of His Life", Sue Ann Seymour in Battle Creek on October 27, 1962; she sadly preceded him in death on January 5, 1996. He was also preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Judith Titus; and two brothers, Gerald & Robert Titus. Harold is survived by his children, Trixie L. Titus, Trudie L. Titus, both of Battle Creek, and Todd H. (Kim) Titus of Portage; three grandchildren, Cameron Spears, Alexandra Spears, and Katlynn Titus; and his loving dog & companion, "Chip".

Harold was a wonderful family man that truly loved life, laughing and being a jokester. He also enjoyed classic cars & car shows, stock car racing, bowling, drives in the country, snowmobiling and camping, but his family and his Dalmatians were everything to him. Harold was a member of the Misfits & Sunset Cruisers car clubs, the Masonic Lodge, the AFLCIO at Clark Equipment and the Grain Millers Union at Post.

Due to the recent Government Regulations and the large number of people who knew and loved Harold, a private family service has been held and a public celebration of Harold's life will be held at a later date. Please omit flowers and in lieu of flowers, please consider making donations to Kindred Hospice, the Humane Society of South Central Michigan, the Sunset Cruiser Car Club, and/or Maple United Methodist Church. Arrangements by Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek.
