Jerry L. McGhan, 75, of Battle Creek, was born April 25, 1946 and passed away in Battle Creek, MI on March 25, 2022 peacefully at home in the care of his niece Tania Titus. He was preceded in death by his mother, Emmajean Bigelow and his father, Nial McGhan; a brother, Arthur McGhan and a sister, Alice Damon. Jerry is survived by two brothers, William and Melvin McGhan, several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Sharon Routledge.

Jerry married Jackie McGrew in 1966. They had two children together, Joyce and Jerry Jr. This marriage ended in divorce. He re-married in 1991 to Dianna Sheppard which also ended in divorce.

Jerry was a big fan of McGhan's Motorsports; he took pride in this family owned sport. He was always hanging out at the race shop and in the grandstands at the track with family and friends cheering for a win.

A graveside service to celebrate Jerry's life will be 12:00 p.m., Friday, April 8, 2022 at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements by the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care. Personal messages for the family may be placed at www.farleyestesdowdle.com.
