Jody M. Calbaugh, age 55, of Battle Creek passed away suddenly on Sunday morning, August 20, 2017. She was born in Battle Creek on August 3, 1962, and was the loving daughter of James W. Jones and Linda Mae (David) McClelland. Jody graduated from Delton-Kellogg High School, where she was elected head-cheerleader all four years. She served as a baker at Felpausch grocery for many years, and also worked at Barker Manufacturing for more than 12 years.

Jody married the "Love of Her Life", David K. Calbaugh at her mother's home in Dowling on July 4, 1987; he survives. She is also survived by two step-children, Leroy (Diana) Calbaugh of Battle Creek, and Angie Calbaugh of Ohio; five grandchildren; her dad, James W. Jones of Delton; her step-dad, David McClelland of Dowling; her God daughter, Kourtney Hubbert of Hastings; her four-legged babies, Katie, Bailey, & Patches; her brothers & sister, Wendy (Ron) Gates of Battle Creek, Scott (Tina) Adams of Hastings, Tony (Jonathan) Jones of Indianapolis, IN, and Brian (Christin) Jones of Middleville; her step-brothers, Todd (Donna) McClelland of Grand Rapids, and Jeff McClelland of Bronson; her father-in-law, Leroy (Dolores) Glenn, brother-in-law, Jerry L. Calbaugh, and several nieces & nephews. Jody was sadly just preceded in death by her mother, Linda Mae McClelland on Friday morning August 18, 2017; her mother-in-law, Leda Glenn; and was also tragically preceded in death by her niece, Nicole Gates on July 23, 2014.

Jody was an avid Detroit Lions and University of Michigan fan. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking, watching soap operas, getting her hair done, and most off all loved spending time with her family, especially her dogs and her wonderful God daughter, Kourtney.

The family will receive friends 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, August 25, 2017 at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek where funeral services to celebrate her life will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 26, 2017.
