Joseph Richard Domenico passed away peacefully on September 23, 2020 at his home with his loving family by his side.

He was born in Rome, New York on November 9, 1938 to Philip and Lucy (Mack) Domenico. Joe was raised in Rome, New York. Joe honorably served his country in the U.S. Army from 1958-1960. After his service he returned to Rome and met the love of his life Mary Elizabeth. Joseph and Mary Elizabeth Kern were married September 8, 1962 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, in Rome, New York.

Joe was employed by the U.S. Federal Government for 42 years retiring in 2001.

Surviving are Mary Elizabeth Domenico, his wife of 58 years, two sons David Christopher of Fernandina Beach, FL and Jeffrey Thomas (Kathy) Domenico of Hastings, MI; and three grandchildren Matthew, Sebastian and Adrian. Joe was preceded in death by his son Joseph Vincent Domenico on December 5, 1995, his parents and four older brothers, Philip, Sebastian, Samuel and Patrick.

The family of Joseph Domenico want to personally thank Hospice Care of S.W. Michigan for their love, care and concern, especially Christa, Laura and Kim.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by Rev. John D. Fleckenstein at St. Philip Roman Catholic Church for Joe's family. Military Honors and a committal service will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
