Love Emblem

Kasondra Kae (Hall) Clingan, 60, of Battle Creek, Michigan earned her wings at Bronson Battle Creek hospital on December 28, 2021 with loved ones beside her.

Kasondra was born July 21, 1961 in Battle Creek, Michigan to Bud and Judith Lynn (Havens) Hall. She grew up in Battle Creek the majority of the time and a short period in Marshall and was a 1979 graduate of Holt High School. Kasondra "Konnie" was employed at General Motors in Lansing for 20 years, making the hour trip twice each day. Eventually she was injured at work and then dedicated herself to taking care of her family, friends and of course all the dogs.

Kasondra was united in marriage to Craig J. Clingan on June 6, 1987 in Battle Creek. Surviving are her husband, Craig; two daughters, Courtney J. Clingan and Cara J. Clingan both of Battle Creek; three grandchildren, Bentley Miarka, Leilah Miarka, Aubree Barlond; her mother, Judith L. Davis of Battle Creek and a sister, Traci Shaw of Titusville, FL. Kasondra was preceded in death by her dad, Ralph Hall and father, Michael Davis.

She met her husband on a blind date where she actually filled in for someone else. After that first night the rest was history. She and Craig created a beautiful love that only a few are ever lucky enough to experience and with their wedding vows lived up to each and every single one. With two daughters, Kasondra showed them how to love and grow into strong women who loved to help others just as much as she did. She had a heart of pure gold as some would say; an angel on earth. Kasondra was the heart of the family. She was a full time wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all she came in contact with. Never judging anyone and always accepting them for who they were. She was constantly smiling and reminding her children that family is above all. Materialistic things didn't mean much as long as you had family and a house full of love. She graced her family with that love daily that she forever preached.

She had a love for gardening and flowers. Spent many hours during the summer making sure her tomato plants didn't fall over and that the flowers were evenly spaced apart. She collected flip flops like no other and had absolutely no self control while shopping during the holidays. While loving her family she also had a deep love for animals, dogs in particular. That love for dogs started when she was 12 years old tending to her pup who became sick. She would hold the bowl of water when her pups body became weak and then carried her to the vet when her time was up. Her love for dogs never stopped and definitely is another reason she loved with all her might. Her home always had two or three to keep her busy once her kids were grown. One of her dreams was to own a huge barn and rescue as many dogs as she could and keep them safe and love them endlessly. She made many rescue trips to save animals and get them to different shelters or homes and donated to the local vets, pounds and rescues whenever she was able.

Although she is gone too soon, she leaves behind a smile and heart that everyone knew and loved her by. She leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion. A love for life and everyone in it. She wouldn't want anyone sad that she is gone and she preached that often. She would want to be remembered by her heart and love for family and friends. She would want the world to change by loving yourself, your family and your friends a little bit more and hating a little bit less.

A casual gathering to celebrate Kasondra's life will be held 2:00-4:00 p.m. Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home and Cremation Care. At 3:30 p.m. during the gathering, family and friends will be invited to share their memories of Kasondra.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family or in honor of Kasondra Clingan to any animal rescue or local animal shelter. Personal messages for the family may be placed in the Memory Book at http://www.farleyestesdowdle.com.
