Leonard G. Garrison, 87, of Union City, died December 3, 2017 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. Leonard was born November 28, 1930 in Athens Twp. to John and Gladys (Martin) Garrison. He served in the U.S. Army and worked at Post Cereals.

Leonard loved being outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming and gardening.

Leonard is survived by his two daughters, Kimberly (Arnold) Michael and Deborah Hopkins; five grandchildren, Miranda Augustine, Michelle (Troy) Gilleylen, Nathaniel Hopkins, Justin (Danielle) Michael and Ryan (Randi) Michael; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Wilma Blair and his former wife and good friend, Kathryn Garrison. Leonard was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Garrison and a brother, Arnold Garrison.

Funeral services to celebrate Leonard's life will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 8, 2017 at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care. Interment will follow at Bedford Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, starting at 10:00 a.m. Personal messages for the family may be placed at
