Linda Marie (Hiatt) Estelle, 74 of Battle Creek died peacefully at Glen Arbor Hospice Residence on Friday, September 24, 2021.

Linda was born April 26, 1947 in Battle Creek, Michigan the daughter of Lee O. and Ida M. (Ganson) Hiatt. She was a 1965 graduate of St. Philip Catholic Central, attended Kellogg Community College and Weaver Airline School in Kansas City, Missouri. During high school, Linda worked at the former Karmel Corn Shop in Security National Bank. She was employed at Anthony Wayne Bank in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Linda's career in banking continued at Security National Bank and Comerica Bank, where she was a head teller and an instructor. She worked for DOD Federal Credit Union from 1982 until 1999; and also at United Educational Credit Union. Linda worked as a massage therapist for Dr. Gordon at Minges Creek Chiropractic and later had her own office. Previously she was employed as a DJ at the former Attic Lounge, where her nickname was "D.J. Red". She worked for Lone Star, JT's, Buckingham Inn, Images Bridal Wear and as a limousine driver, she took Lee Greenwood to the Battle Creek Veterans Affairs Medical Center several times when he was here doing benefit shows at the B.C.V.A.M.C.

Linda was formerly married to Tony Jaskie. She married John Edward Estelle and they had two children, Brad and Jodi. Linda was preceded in death by her best friend and former husband, John Edward Estelle on July 27, 2013. Surviving are her son, Brad (Stephanie McDonagh) Estelle; daughter, Jodi Estelle; grandchildren, Jon "Bird" Estelle, Roman Estelle, and Luke Estelle; and two sisters, Lydia (Mike) Bastian and, Laurie "Peach" Hiatt. Linda was also preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Ida Hiatt, sister, Lisa Hiatt at age two; and a brother, Stephen Hiatt at age seven.

Linda was a member of Victory Life Church. More than anything Linda loved her family. She enjoyed yardwork, boating, watching and feeding birds, sporting events and socializing. On her 60th birthday she went sky diving. Linda loved traveling to Maggie Valley, NC and going to her favorite restaurant there, the Salty Dog. Linda will be remembered for making you laugh and for the contagious smile she always greeted you with.

Friends will be received 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, where a memorial service to celebrate Linda's life will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 2, 2021. Linda's cremated remains will be buried at Memorial Park Cemetery and a small portion will be scattered with Big John's in Hawaii.
