G. Marie Cretsinger, 77, of Battle Creek, died November 9, 2017. Marie was born September 30, 1940 in Battle Creek to Frederick and Mary (Yurisich) Beisheim. She graduated from high school and married Harold Cretsinger. The couple was blessed with 59 years of marriage. Marie was a stay at home mother and devoted most of her life to her family.

Marie enjoyed reading, sewing and traveling. She was a long time member of the Birchwood United Methodist Church. Marie and Harold volunteered together at the Kellogg's Store for many years.

Marie is survived by her husband, Harold; their four daughters, Gloria Cretsinger of Battle Creek, Kathi (John) Fahl of Kalamazoo, Pat (Tim) Halder of Battle Creek and Anne (Kip Reincke) Walters of Tekonsha; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Marie was preceded in death by her brother, Freddy "Yogi" Beisheim, Jr. and one of the granddaughter's special friends, Andrew Archer.

A memorial service to celebrate Marie's life will be 12:00 p.m., Friday, November 17, 2017 at Birchwood United Methodist Church, officiated by her grandson, Justin Halder. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service, starting at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
