Robert Cecil Ludlow, age 80, passed away on July 3, 2021 in Arcadia, California.

Bob was born on November 27, 1940 in Muskegon, Michigan to Cecil and Norma G Ludlow. He spent most of his childhood in the Gull Lake and Augusta area. As a young man, he served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Following his service, he lived in Manhattan, New York for 30 years and built a career in real estate management. Bob loved the cultural scene and made many lifelong friendships in New York, which he always considered his home. After retiring, he moved back to Augusta to be closer to his family.

Bob loved to garden and work in the yard, creating magnificent landscapes that were his pride and joy. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, including his dogs. Some of his hobbies include playing poker, reading, antique collecting, spending time on the boat and traveling. Bob's sense of adventure and spirit were unmatched. This spirit took him all over the world throughout his life and led to many friendships along the way.

Bob was incredibly generous with his time, his heart, and his experience. He was always one of the first to volunteer or support a cause and cherished helping others whenever he could. He spent almost 20 years as a volunteer at Kairos Dwelling Home in Kalamazoo and has a passion for comforting the sick and their families. Bob was also an active member and served on the vestry of St. Thomas Episcopal Church. He participated in many of the Church's outreach initiatives including the breakfast program and holiday basket.

Bob was incredibly loving and leaves behind his husband, Mark Dixon; a sister, Judy Robbins; brothers, Don (Sarah) Ludlow and Larry Ludlow; and many extended family, in-laws, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gary Ludlow; and brother-in-law, Tommy Robbins.
