Russell J. L. "Russ" Webber, 77 of Delton died peacefully at Borgess Medical Center, with his family at his side, on Monday, November 19, 2018, after having a hemorrhagic stroke on Saturday, November 17, 2018.

Russ was born July 10, 1941 in Battle Creek, Michigan the son of Ernest J. and Irma M. (Miller) Webber. He grew up in Battle Creek and graduated from Battle Creek Central High School. Russ was employed at Battle Creek Foundry for 18 years until it closed. He then worked at Calhoun Foundry, retiring as its president in 2006.

Russ married Connie Ann Malcuit and was preceded in death by his wife Connie on January 3, 1991. Surviving are his mother, Irma Webber of Battle Creek; two sons, Scott M. (Bryan Rigsbee) Webber of Durham, NC, Todd A Webber of Battle Creek, MI; a daughter, Megan (Brodie) Johnson of Battle Creek and three grandsons, Hayden, Easton and Paxton Johnson and his fiancée, Jane Mallernee of Battle Creek. In addition to his wife, Russ was also preceded in death by his life partner, Kathryn Spiegel in May of 2015, his father, Ernest and sister, Lavinia "Sue" Webber.

Russ was a member of AFS Foundry Men's Association and St. Mark Lutheran Church. He served on the Board of Directors at Kambly Living Center for 18 years. Russ enjoyed woodworking, golfing, boating, fishing and just looking out over the lake with a drink in his hand. Russ will be remembered as a loving person with a kind heart.

A service celebrating Russ' life will be held at Riverside Golf Club, 245 E. Columbia Ave., Battle Creek, MI 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Monday, November 26, 2018.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church. Arrangements are by Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care. Personal messages for the family may be placed here at
