She married the love of her life, David Louis Berlien on December 17, 1977. She and David retired from their working lives in 1994 and spent many years camping, going on fishing trips and searching for those elusive pudding stones that decorated their garden areas.

She is also survived by three great-grandchildren: Isabelle Smith, Ethan Smith and David E. Berlien, II. Ruth is also survived by her brother and great friend, Rod Baker and his wife, Evelyn of Illinois and nieces and nephews. Also surviving is her sister-in-law and dear friend, Linda (Berlien) Wellenkamp.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Marilyn (Baker) Turnbull and Judy (Baker) Burch and her daughter, Andrea H. Berlien.

The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 26th at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care where a memorial service to celebrate Ruth's life will be held 1:00 p.m., Thursday, July 27th with the Rev.
