Shirley Ann Blish Peters, 86, of Richland, passed away peacefully Friday, April 27, 2018 with her children by her side. The daughter of Harold M. and Madelyn M. (Noel) Blish was born July 19, 1931. She was preceded in death by her parents and the love of her life, Fred Peters, in 2017.

Mom loved to work puzzles, paint ceramics, camp with her family, bake sweet treats, golf and celebrate the holidays, especially Christmas. Most of all she loved being a mom and grandma.

She leaves behind her precious children, Jim (Tammie), John (Teri) and Steve (Kellie) Peters, Sue (Tom) Forsberg, Julie (Dale Girke) Peters and Lori (W.J.) Stafford; 13 precious grandchildren; one great-grandson; a sister, Betty (Bob) Majewski and her special dog, Brodie. She devoted her life to raising her six children and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Mom and her family would like to send out a very special thank you to Mike and Rosie, Art and Cheryl, Rob and Jodie, Robin, the staff at Rose Arbor Hospice and Hospice of SW Michigan for their exceptional care of her.

A memorial mass to celebrate Shirley's life will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 11, 2018 at St. Ann Catholic Church, 12648 E D Ave, Augusta MI 49012. Refreshments will be served in the church social hall immediately following the funeral service. Please join us to celebrate her life. Memorial donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, in honor of her granddaughter. Arrangements by the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Richland Chapel.
